If you’ve visited our website recently, www.keystroke.ca, you’ve no doubt noticed some new orange characters sprinkled across most of the home page sliders.

These new characters were introduced to illustrate the features of the programs and services we offer, as we transition from promoting their branding to showing actual screenshots of their features. While we’re proud of the branding we’ve established with many of our products, we know new visitors can more easily understand the form and function of these applications with actual screenshots.

We think adding our new orange mascots to the mix, one male and one female, provides some context and fun to the advertising, and we certainly think these times call for a bit of lightness right now.

As much fun as we had creating these characters, though, we’ve proven woefully inept at naming them, which is why we’re turning to our customers for help. Through the month of July, Keystroke is going to host a “Name our Mascots” contest, and invite all our customers to submit their suggestions, along with the reasons “why” in the submission form at the bottom of this blog.

Some of the inspirations for the names we’re sure will be self-evident, but let’s have some fun with it anyway. On July 30^th, the Keystroke will announce the winning names and award the customer(s) who submitted them with a new Android Tablet with a 1-year subscription to the soon-to-be-released Handheld Contact API.

There will be two prizes, one for each of the mascot’s gender, and in cases of multiple submissions with the same winning suggestion, we’ll have a draw.
