History Summary is an AI-powered cloud feature that generates a concise recap of a contact’s recent interactions. With a single click, users can view a short summary of notes, activities, and history items from the past three months. This provides immediate context for calls, meetings, or follow‑ups without the need to review records manually.
The feature is designed to improve efficiency and accuracy in customer engagement. Presenting recent history in a clear format reduces preparation time and ensures consistency across teams. It also supports Act!’s broader initiative to integrate practical AI into the CRM experience, focusing on productivity and measurable user benefit.
Release Information
History Summary will be available Friday morning (December 12th) as a Beta release in the Act! Advantage Professional and Ultimate tiers. Users access it through the “Summarize History” button on the Contact History tab. Summaries are generated in real time and are not stored or shared. Administrators can enable or disable the feature at the account level.
Functionality
The feature summarizes up to three months of notes, activities, and history items for each contact. If insufficient history exists, users are notified. Summaries are not automatically saved in the database. The AI does not learn from individual user data; improvements are made globally through model tuning.
Availability
During the Beta period, History Summary is available only to US & Canadian English accounts on the Professional and Ultimate tiers. Trial accounts also have access. The feature is processed independently and does not affect database performance.
Feedback & Evaluation
Feedback is collected through in‑app surveys, telemetry, and tagged support notes. Monthly reviews assess adoption, accuracy, and user satisfaction. Key evaluation criteria include reduced preparation time, increased confidence in customer interactions, and the identification of desired controls, such as timeframe filters or record type exclusions.
