Since early 2016, the Knowtifier has delivered on the promise of reliable automation for Act! users. The Knowtifier has generated hundreds of thousands of birthday & anniversary greetings, renewal reminders for warranties, service contracts, subscriptions, mortgages, and insurance contracts,  as well as pipeline notifications and meeting reminders. 

The use cases for the Knowtifier were, quite literally, endless.

In fact, over the last seven years, the only limit for the Knowtifier has been that it only worked with local installations of the Act!. Users had to have Act! installed on their workstations for the Knowtifier to connect to their database, making this reliable automation tool unavailable to the increasing number of web users on Act! Premium Cloud.

Well, not anymore.

Keystroke is pleased to announce that the new Knowtifier API will be released on October 10th, and web users will love it.

The Knowtifier API offers almost all the features of the original Knowitifer version, save for field triggers and a few complex query operators. The Knowtifier API connects to the cloud database via the Act! Web API, and can still be configured to send one or more notifications to contacts based on date fields in the Act! contact & opportunity table, as well as custom tables.  The Knowtifier API can also record the Histories of these notifications, as well as create follow-up activities in Act!. 

It still must be installed on a Windows computer, but it no longer requires Act! to be installed with it.

Whether you use the original or new API version, the Knowtifier makes you more organized and accountable to your customers. For years Keystroke has used the Knowtifier internally to remind customers of upcoming renewals for their Act! & add-on subscriptions, as well as support, domain, and hosting contract renewals.  Over 150,000 notifications are sent annually, which has allowed us to manage our growing business with little or no human intervention.
