In June of 2015 Swiftpage entrusted Keystroke.ca to be the Act! Master VAR for Canada. This meant we were entrusted to grow the Act! market in this country, while further developing the Canadian reseller channel.

A lot has changed in the past five years, as many Act! related products & services have come and gone, not the least of which has been Swiftpage Emarketing, Act! Pro, Growth Suite, and Act! Premium Cloud, as well as the soon to be deprecated Act! Emarketing. Along the way, Swiftpage was purchased by SFW and they in turn acquired Kuvana to compliment Act! with marketing automation functionality. If that were not enough, just recently Act! CRM SaaS was introduced, which included a superfast 64-bit multi-tenant cloud-only version of Act!.

With all these changes, Swiftpage notified us in March that they wanted to update the MVAR Agreement we signed 5-years ago to better reflect the new Act! landscape. Those negotiations commenced in April, and after many months of discussions, we’re pleased to announce that Keystroke and Swiftpage recently signed a new deal effective October 1st, 2020. Like all previous deals, it has a one-year term, but the last five were auto-renewed, so we’re expecting a similar pattern for the coming years.

The average Act! Customers will likely not notice any difference as we’ll continue to serve end-users and resellers the same as before. Some changes are being introduced in Quebec as we implement Swiftpage’s new support policy. Canadian customers outside of that province may not have been aware that as part of the previous MVAR agreement, Keystroke was employed by Swiftpage to provide all French warranty support to Act! subscribers in North America.

However, effective October 1st, Swiftpage rescoped their support policy to more clearly define what type of support was included with subscription, and what was available with an upgrade. Full details of this new scope of service can be read HERE, but Quebec customers are being transitioned more smoothly as the new policy takes effect with them as each of their Act! subscriptions are renewed.

One of the other changes introduced with the new MVAR deal is that all new desktop versions of Act! CRM, regardless of where they’re sold, must now be purchased from Keystroke if the customer’s primary place of business is in Canada.
