It's been a few years in the making, but the release of Act! online mail merge is almost here, and we've got two pieces of exciting news for you.
Try the mail merge early
Firstly, the new mail merge is currently in beta scheduled for its official release in January 2026. However, we've had Act! prepare an early digital opt-in to give you access to it right away. All you need to do is provide your email and account number and click submit, and your account will be added to the early adopters list. There are a few things to be aware of before doing so, and some of the issue are covered in this blog, but here's the short list of points
- If you make the switch, you will forfeit the option to use MS Word for regular mail merges - even if merged to a file and not email.
- You will also have to use the new template editor to create new templates or edit existing ones. There is a one-time quick conversion process that converts all your old templates to the new format. It literally takes seconds
- If APC customers make the switch, the desktop users will have to upgrade to v27 to use the same templates.
- Currently merging to email and including file attachments is not supported.
If you're still keen to join the early adopters list for the new Cloud mail merge feature, click HERE to submit your digital request.
