The Act! v19 released date has been set for January 11th, 2017, and the following is a snippit of a memo we received from Lorcan Malone, the President of Swiftpage.

As a largely subscription-based business, we believe that delivering quality products and experiences is critically important to build trust with you, our mutual customers.  For each release of Act!, we set specific internal quality standards that drive our go/no-go decision to launch the product.  Act! v19 is a significant release which required a lot of complex engineering, particularly on the 64-bit compatibility work. 

Due to the nature of the changes and the volume of testing required, we have determined that we will be able to release Act! v19 on January 11th 2017 for English, with French and German being delivered in February 2017.

In the time between now and then, we will complete an extended and comprehensive quality assurance plan, ensuring we deliver the high quality project that you and our customers expect. 

As someone that had been watching the development of this release, I understand the timelines. Swiftpage is not simply recompiling this version to support a 64-bit version of Office, they're rewriting the nature of the Office integration itself. The old "redemption.dll" method was a fairly mature technology, and replacing it was never going to be easy, but kudos to Swiftpage for aiming higher.

Personally, this release date actually helps our business as the gap between the release of the English and French versions of Act! has been narrowed, Our French customers in Quebec will now have to wait only around 6-weeks for the latest version of Act!, compared to six months in some past releases.
